An Emotional Connection Is The Best Legacy and Gift A Parent Can Give To Their Child/Adolscent
and Couples Can Give To Each Other
Being available and present with your child is more than being in the same room together! Every child
needs to have a healthy emotional connection with their primary caregivers. Emotional connection plays
a lifelong role your child’s development and "well-being" into adulthood and is key to their sense of
emotional stability throughout their lifespan.
Sometimes adults struggles with their own emotion regulation and ability to connect with others emotionally.
My developmental lens works well with adults who are struggling with personal or professional relationships.
I support each individual's specific concerns in establishing emotional connections.
The First Step With Any Concern Is To Fully Understand What Is Driving The Behavior:
Interviews, observations and questionnaires are all a vital part of the process. In addition, a wide range of assessments
are utilized as a measure of identification of possible developmental gaps and/or diagnoses and for guidance
in determining appropriate interventions.
Some Reasons That Therapy May be Necessary For Children and Adolescents:
Poor social interactions, hyperactivity, sleeping or eating challenges, withdrawn, excessive tantrums,
aggression, power struggles, or witnessing trauma. Difficulty in expressing feelings, concern regarding behaviors and interactions at school.
Drugs, alcohol, low self-esteem, poor performance in school, suicidal ideation or self-injury type behaviors.
Concerns Within The Parent, Family, Couples:
Postpartum depression; not able to soothe/comfort your child, low frustration levels, unable to get your child to stop and listen, feeling that your
child does not like you or an overall feeling of lack of joy in the relationship. A past dysfunctional childhood history impacting your present
relationships, and couple relationships which have gone awry.
There is help! Often improvement is noted in just 3-6 sessions.
